Dementia Friendly America – Prince George’s County – Adopt-A-Senior Building Initiative
The White Rose Foundation, Inc. (WRF) received a grant from Care First Blue Cross Blue Shield for the DFA-PGC-ASBI Project to provide critically needed support to the senior population in southern Prince George’s County during an extended period of the COVID-19 pandemic. This population has been disproportionately impacted by the pandemic and the existing food insecurity exacerbated. This project will provide additional food and other resources for up to 450 Prince George’s County seniors who are in need.
Partners in the program include Prince George’s County Maryland Chapter of The Links, Inc., Mount Rose Maryland Chapter of The Links, Inc., Willow Oak Maryland Chapter of The Links, Inc., and Southern Prince George’s County Community Charities, Inc.
